My Profession
My name is Devin, and I am a designer and craftsman of scenery and props for live theatrical productions! I am also a proud educator, currently serving as an associate professor instructing courses in performance, design, history, and analysis.
When I am not designing or teaching, you will almost certainly find me in a workshop somewhere, contributing my skills as a carpenter, scenic artist, or props fabricator for a new and exciting production. I love the world of technical theatre, and I'm always looking forward to the next new and challenging project!

I hold a BA in Theatre Arts from Lawrence University (2005) and an MFA in Scenic Design from the University of Nevada Las Vegas (2013). During my graduate experience, I spent three amazing summers apprenticing at Maine State Music Theatre in beautiful Brunswick, Maine.
I understand firsthand the importance of supportive mentorship as part of a theatrical education. Now, as an educator myself, I strive to provide every student with the proper knowledge, practical training, and artistic encouragement they require to become successful in their future careers.
